Seattle Central College offers a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Applied Behavioral Science that is designed to provide you with the education you need to become a leader in the human services field.

STEPS TO APPLY FOR ADMISSIONS TO BAS PROGRAM:

1) If you have not been a Seattle Central College student within the last 5 years, you must apply for Admissions to Seattle Central College.

2) After you have been admitted to SCC and received your ctcLink ID, create your MySeattleColleges account.

3) Use that account login to access the BAS Admissions Application.

To be eligible for this degree program, applicants must:

  • Meet a minimum requirement of a 2.5 GPA
  • Have completed (or will complete prior to start of BAS program) an Associate's degree. Acceptable degrees include the following;                                                         - An associate's degree in Social & Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Chemical Dependency, or a related human service degree                                         - AA/DTA (general transfer) degree plus 30 credits in Social & Human Services, Early Childhood Education, or Social Sciences. Contact Melissa Martinez to determine if additional prerequisites are needed.

In this application, you can expect the following:

  • To write a personal statement about your interest in the field of human services
  • To provide information about your experience (paid or volunteer) in the field of human services
  • To upload your unofficial transcripts
  • To upload two letters of recommendation (optional, but highly recommended)- one letter should be from an instructor/someone familiar with your academic abilities and one letter should be from a professional/supervisor familiar with your professionalism and ability to be successful in a Bachelor's program

Once you login, you may begin the application. The application saves automatically when you navigate to a different step of the application or log out, so you may come back to finish your application at a later time.  Please ensure your application is complete (including all needed uploads) before submitting it.
