Program Application opens September 2025
The Seattle Central College (SCC) Dental Programs prepare dental professionals for the workplace, service to the community, and the dynamic roles in oral health care. The Dental Programs promote educational excellence through liberal and technical education where scientific knowledge, skill development and societal changes are achieved.
The program website and "SCC DH Application Information Packet" (available on the website) describes the dental hygiene profession, career opportunities for dental hygienists, program pre-requisite courses, physical demands on dental hygienists, important dates/deadlines, information session dates/times, and informational documents.
All criteria requested in this application must be satisfied for an applicant to be considered for admission. Applicants must have an ctcLink EMPL ID to log into the online application. The online application is saved when navigating through each step of the application or at log out. DO NOT hit the "Submit" button at the end of the application until all steps are finalized and supporting documents have been uploaded. Changes cannot be made once "Submit" has been hit. This application requires a $35 Phase One Dental Hygiene Application Fee, which must be paid to the SCC Cashier's Office
Important Deadlines
- Application deadline: January 15, 2026
- Qualifying applicantants are invited to Phase Two of the SCC DH Application process:
- mandatory on-site essay appointment (appointments tentatively scheduled in first week of February)
- mandatory on-site interview session on Monday, March 9 (tentative date)
- $25 phase two DH application fee (paid to Cashier's office)
- Up to 20 students will be offered admission to the Seattle Central College Dental Hygiene Program.
- Mandatory Orientation Session: Monday, 4/20 (tentative date)
- Classes begin in Summer Quarter 2026
